Trading alerts help you receive real-time notifications whenever the specified events are triggered so that you can always implement some sort of action on the information before it loses its value.
In this documentation, we will explore how to:
- Add Alerts Widget
- Create an Alert
- Search a Specific Alert
Let’s get started 🚀
Add Alerts Widget
Step 1: Sign in to your TrendSpider account and navigate to the right side of the interface to select the Alerts widget from the list.
Step 2: Click on the “Add to the Sidebar” option to add the Alerts widget.
The Alerts widget will populate in the sidebar column as can be observed below:
Create an Alert
After adding the widget, simply click on the Create Alert button and select the type of alert you want to create from the dropdown list.
With TrendSpider, you can create two types of alerts- Dynamic Price Alert or Multi-Factor Alert, or both.
Dynamic Price Alert: A dynamic alert is created on the trend lines or indicators and notifies you whenever the price breaks through, touches, or bounces off of a trend line or indicator.
For more information, please refer to the documentation on- Create a Dynamic Price Alert
Multi-Factor Alert: A multi-factor alert allows you to create different conditions at which a price or candlestick patterns or indicators cross. You can create such conditions using an easy-to-use builder and get notified whenever the defined conditions are triggered.
For more information, please refer to the documentation on- Create a New Multi-Factor Alert from Scratch
After creating the alert, it will appear in the list for you to view and manage. For every listed alert, you can view its- Name, Symbol, Type, Status, and Chart Type.
TIP 1: You can also create an alert by directly clicking on the Alerts&Bots button from the toolbar and making a selection of the type of alert from the dropdown list💡
TIP 2: You can also set up alerts by right-clicking on a trend line or indicator. Choose "Create an alert at this line" to establish the Dynamic alert. This alert will notify you whenever the price breaks through, touches, or bounces off the selected trend line or indicator.
Search a Specific Alert
You can quickly navigate to a specific alert from the list by entering the Alert name in the search field and making the selection.
