Scheduled maintenance: Sat 31st Aug - Mon 1st Sep, replacing the stock market data provider with Nasdaq Basic

We're closing this thread as no more actions seem to be required. We'll keep on monitoring the system just as usual.

We have switched to Nasdaq data. We're closely monitoring the system and running additional checks.

We have restored access to problematic time frames. We're back to normal operations and we'll proceed with our data source switch to Nasdaq shortly.

We're currently observing certain data for time frames being very slow. That's not somewhat expected. We're investigating.

We have started the process.

For those who have missed the email announcement, here's what's happening. Currently, real-time US Equity data is sourced from NYSE. After this change, it will be sourced from NASDAQ. The reason for this change is that we have come to the conclusion that NASDAQ market data is superior for the TrendSpider use case. It provides a more robust and complete view of price action and market volume with fewer gaps.

Besides better, cleaner charting, this change also unlocks a range of functionality that is currently artificially restricted in the platform. This includes everything from faster alerts and trading bots to better volume measurements on lower time frames. Once the upgrade is complete, our engineering team will evaluate what additional upgrades can be implemented given the higher quality market data feed we will have.

From Sat 31st Aug to Mon 1st Sep we'll be replacing our current stock market data provider with Nasdaq Basic. During this period, there can be periods of degraded chart response time or other functionality. While no downtime is planned, there is a chance for stock market data being not available for total of 10-20 minutes in these 3 days.
