Splits occur when the number of shares available for trading for a particular security change. There are two types of splits: a forward split or a reverse split. TrendSpider allows you to display anytime an equity or asset is split, either forward or reverse, by selecting the Splits item from the Other Data toolbar menu.
Splits Display Details
With Splits selected in the events tab, you will see "Splits" added to your indicator list. Select the three dots next to "Splits" to reveal the display options. In addition to just displaying the Splits date, users may also add markings for the date Declared or an Ex-split along with alignment options for the top or bottom of your chart.
