With Workato, you can create an automated workflow and trigger it with the alerts/data sent from TrendSpider via Webhook connection.
Stage I: Create a Project & Setup Recipe
Step 1: Log in to Workato and click on the Create Project button.
Step 2: Enter a name and description for the project and click on the Create Project button.
Step 3: Click on the Create Recipe button from the top-right corner of the interface.
Step 4: Enter a recipe name, select the recipe location, and pick Trigger from a webhook as a starting point. Once done, then click on the Start Building button.
This will set the HTTP Webhook as the trigger event.
Stage II: Generate Webhook URL
Step 1: Click on the Start Guided Setup from the right.
Step 2: Name the event and the Webhook URL shall be generated accordingly. Click on the Next button.
Step 3: The setup is now ready to fetch the Webhook events from the application. You can copy this Webhook address and paste it while creating the Trading Bot in TrendSpider or setting up Dynamic or Multi-Factor Alert to send the data to Make.
Once the TrendSpider will generate an alert, Workato will receive the event. After this, you can start setting up the Webhook by clicking on the Setup webhook button.
Stage III: Webhook Trigger Configuration
Once the trigger is completely configured in Stage II, you can continue to set up the rest of the recipe by configuring the input fields. For more information, please check- Input Fields.
After that, proceed to set trigger conditions. Please check- Trigger conditions
Stage IV: Add an Action
After completing setting up the Webhook, you can proceed to add an action in the Workflow.
Step 1: Click on the + button in the workflow and select what happens next.
Step 2: To integrate an application in the Workflow, click on the Action in an app button.
Step 3: Click on the Slack button from the list.
Step 4: Select an event that the Workato would perform on the selected application once the TrendSpider sends the alert/data. In this case, we would like the Workato to Post Message.
Step 5: Click on the Connect button to authorize Workato to access your selected application.
After establishing the connection, you can configure the rest of the setup settings. Once done, then click on the Save button from the top-right corner of the interface to save your recipe.
Stage V: Test the Recipe
You can test your recipe before initiating it. This will allow you to ensure that the automation is reflecting the behavior you expect. Check the Testing recipes guide for more information.
Stage VI: Start the Recipe
Once satisfied with the results, you can start the recipe and make it active to fetch the trigger events and execute them through the recipe.
For more information, please check- Starting Recipes
Whenever TrendSpider will send the data to the Workato Webhook URL, this workflow will be triggered and the action defined in the added application shall get into the motion.
