How to Use TrendSpider Affiliate Manager Account

When you are accepted as an affiliate partner with TrendSpider, you will have access to our sophisticated Affiliate Manager Account, which aggregates all the affiliate data and performance indicators to make tracking and management easy for you.

In this document, we will explain the purpose of different sections in the Affiliate Manager account.

Let’s get started.

Home Page

Earnings Summary

Affiliates can view a summary of their earnings at the top of the dashboard, which includes:

  • Due in 3 Days: Displays the amount scheduled for payout in the next three days.
  • Total Unpaid: This shows the current unpaid commission balance.
  • Total Paid: Indicates the total amount of commissions that have been paid out.

Payout Method Notification

Affiliates who have not selected a payout method will see a notification prompting them to set one up. To receive payments, click on the Select Payout Method button and follow the instructions to add a payout method.

Affiliate Tier & Performance Metrics

The dashboard displays the affiliate’s current tier and performance metrics, including:

  • Clicks: The total number of times the affiliate link has been clicked.
  • Referrals: The number of users who have signed up through the affiliate’s referral link.
  • Customers: The number of referred users who have converted to a paid subscription.

Tax Documentation Submission

Affiliates must submit tax documentation before receiving payouts. Depending on their residency status, they must upload either a W-9 tax form (for U.S. citizens) or a W-8BEN tax form (for non-U.S. citizens)

Rewards

Affiliates earn a 10-30% recurring commission for each new customer they refer who subscribes to a paid TrendSpider plan. This commission continues for 12 months as long as the customer remains subscribed.

Referral Links

Affiliates can access and share their unique referral link to track conversions and commissions.

  • Copy Link: Affiliates can copy their unique referral link and share it with potential referrals.
  • Customize Token: Clicking this button allows affiliates to personalize their referral token.
  • New Link: Affiliates can create additional tracking links for different campaigns.
  • Social Sharing: Affiliates can quickly share their referral link on Twitter (X) or Facebook using the social media buttons.

Referrals Tab

The Referrals tab allows affiliates to track and manage the users they have referred to TrendSpider.

Search and Filter Referrals

Affiliates can search for specific referrals using the search bar at the top of the page. Additionally, they can filter referrals based on their status by selecting an option from the State dropdown menu:

  • Any: Displays all referrals.
  • Paying: Shows referrals who have converted to a paid subscription.
  • Signup: Displays users who have signed up but have not yet subscribed to a paid plan.
  • Lead: List potential customers who have shown interest but have not completed the signup process.
  • Canceled: Shows users who were previously paying customers but have since canceled their subscription.

Commissions Tab

The Commissions tab allows affiliates to track their earned commissions and their status.

Search and Filter Commissions

Affiliates can search for specific commissions using the search bar at the top of the page. Additionally, they can filter commissions based on their status by selecting an option from the State dropdown menu:

  • Any: Displays all commissions.
  • Pending: This shows commissions that are awaiting approval before payout.
  • Approved: Lists commissions that have been verified and are ready for payout.
  • Denied: Displays commissions that were rejected due to cancellations, disputes, or other issues.

Payouts Tab

The Payouts tab allows affiliates to manage their earnings and view past payouts.

Payout Terms

Affiliates can review the payout schedule in this section. TrendSpider follows a Monthly / Net-30 payout system:

  • Payment Date: Commissions earned in a given month will be paid on the 30th of the following month.
  • Minimum Payout Threshold: Payments are only processed if the unpaid balance exceeds $100.

Setting a Payout Method

Affiliates must select a payout method before receiving payments.

  • If no method is set, the dashboard will display "No Payout method set."
  • To set up a payout method, click on the "+ Set Payout Method" button and follow the instructions.

Payout History

Affiliates can track past payments in this section. This section will update as payments are processed, allowing affiliates to review completed and pending payouts.

Assets Tab

The Assets tab provides affiliates with marketing materials and resources to promote TrendSpider effectively.

Searching for Assets

Affiliates can use the search bar at the top of the page to find specific assets related to their campaign. This helps them quickly locate banners, logos, or promotional content.

Reports Tab

The Reports tab provides affiliates with detailed insights into their performance, including earnings, traffic sources, and customer conversions.

Overview Section

Affiliates can view a graphical representation of their earnings, clicks, signups, and customer conversions over a selected time frame.

  • Timeframe Selection : Affiliates can adjust the reporting period using the Timeframe dropdown menu, which includes options such as:
    • Today
    • Yesterday
    • Last 30 Days
    • This Month
    • Last Month
    • Last 6 Months
    • This Year
    • All Time
    • Custom

Performance Metrics

Below the graph, affiliates can track key performance indicators:

  • Earnings: The total amount earned during the selected period.
  • Clicks: The number of times users clicked on the affiliate link.
  • Signups: The number of users who registered but have not yet converted.
  • Customers: The number of referred users who became paying customers.

Historical Data Table

A breakdown of daily performance is displayed in a table format, showing:

  • Date: The reporting date.
  • Earnings: Total commission earned on that date.
  • New Customers: The number of new paying users.
  • New Referrals: The number of new signups.
  • Clicks Count: The total number of link clicks for that date.

Affiliates can use this data to analyze trends and optimize their marketing efforts for better conversions.

Account Settings (Top Right Corner)

The Account Settings menu allows affiliates to manage their personal account preferences and settings. Clicking on the affiliate’s name in the top right corner opens a dropdown menu with the following options:

Profile Settings

User Details

Affiliates can update their personal information, including:

  • Upload Avatar: Add a profile picture.
  • First Name & Last Name: Update the affiliate’s displayed name.
  • Email: Change the registered email address.
  • Website: Add or update a website link.
  • Company Name & Number: Enter company details if applicable.
  • Country: Select a country from the dropdown menu.
  • Phone Number: Provide a contact number.
  • EU VAT ID: Enter VAT identification (if available).
  • Address: Update the billing or contact address.
  • Timezone: Select the appropriate timezone for accurate reporting.

Tax Documentation

Affiliates must upload tax forms to receive payouts. Options include:

  • W8 Form: For non-U.S. citizens.
  • W9 Form: For U.S. citizens.
  • Upload Section: Drag and drop or manually upload the required file.

Social Links

Affiliates can connect their social media accounts to their profile, including:

  • LinkedIn
  • YouTube
  • Instagram
  • X (Twitter)
  • Facebook
  • Twitch
  • TikTok

After entering the social media URLs, affiliates must click Save to confirm the updates.

Security & Account Management

  • Change Password: Click the Change Password button to update the login credentials.
  • View Agreements: Review the affiliate program’s terms and conditions by selecting View Agreements.
  • Delete Account: Affiliates can permanently delete their account by clicking "click here" under the Delete Account section. Once deleted, the account cannot be recovered.

This page serves as the central hub for managing affiliate account details and ensuring payout eligibility.

Postbacks Tab

The Postbacks tab allows affiliates to set up server-to-server tracking for real-time conversion tracking and analytics integration.

Creating a Postback

Affiliates can create a new postback by clicking the "Create Postback" button. This enables them to:

  • Track conversions using custom URLs.
  • Integrate with third-party tracking systems.
  • Automate reporting for affiliate sales and referrals.

Searching for Postbacks

Affiliates can use the search bar at the top of the page to find specific postbacks they have created.
If no postbacks have been set up, the page will remain empty until new postbacks are added. This feature is useful for affiliates who want to automate their tracking and optimize their marketing efforts.

Notification Settings

The Notification Settings tab allows affiliates to manage their email notification preferences for TrendSpider’s referral and affiliate programs.

Email Notification Preferences

Affiliates can control whether they receive email updates about their account activity. The setting applies to the registered email address displayed at the top of the page.

  • Toggle Switch: Affiliates can enable or disable email notifications by switching the toggle on or off.
  • Notification Consent: If enabled, affiliates will receive important updates, including:
    • Referral and commission notifications.
    • Payout and account updates.
    • TrendSpider affiliate program news and promotions.

This setting allows affiliates to stay informed about their earnings and program-related updates while maintaining control over their inbox preferences.
